Matthews (N.C.) Weddington four-star defensive lineman Trajen Odom has a busy spring visit schedule on deck, he tells On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons.

This spring, Odom will visit Georgia (March 15-16), Ohio State (March 22-23), Duke (March 28), North Carolina State (April 2), UCLA (April 5) and Colorado (April 12).

Of that group, Odom has already visited Georgia. He made the trip to Athens in January and earned an offer from the ‘Dawgs.

“When I got the offer I was pumped and excited, and just knew that the work I put in was paying off,” Odom told DawgsHQ. “This is a big offer because of the way Georgia has been dominating for years nationally. Also, it’s big due to the pros they have produced, especially in my position.”

Odom also visited Oregon in early February before the recruiting dead period set in.

“So when I arrived I was greeted by Coach Lanning, coach Lupoi, coach Tony Tuioti and more coaches,” Odom told ScoopDuck. “I first took tours around the football facilities and I met new staff that I haven’t seen before. Some of the tours included seeing the sports science portion, strength and conditioning, meeting the nutrition staff and making smoothies.

“And my favorite was meeting Kenny Farr and seeing his work and all the equipment. I was able to personally talk to him about all he does with his design/architectural work with it being something I’m highly interested in and hoping to work with him on some pieces if I attend Oregon. Next I had defensive meeting with coach Lupoi and he talked about their bases of their defense and all the fun scheme stuff.”
