Monroe (N.C.) safety Jordan Young can commit to about any school in the country. The No. 38 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking have over 30 offers, but he has narrowed his list down to eight schools.

Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Michigan, North Carolina, NC State, Tennessee and Texas A&M are still in contention for Young. The four-star has visited each school at least once and he is ready to move forward with the process.

“These are the schools that I think are best for me and these are the schools I am focused on,” Young told On3. “All eight schools are recruiting me hard, putting great effort in to get me and all eight have a chance to get me. I want to keep building relationships with the coaches at these schools and getting back on each campus.”

Young has locked in four official visits. He will be at Clemson on May 31, Florida State on June 14, NC State on June 18 and Tennessee on June 21. A decision is not expected until Oct. 12, Young’s birthday, so he hopes to take official visits to other four schools in the fall.

“Now I focus on the relationships, the depth charts at each school and find where I feel most at home at. It will come down to where I feel the most comfortable and the depth at my position.”
